Carlinville, Illinois (Society)
Christian Science Society, Carlinville, dedicated their church edifice on Sunday, October 31, 1943, at services in the morning and afternoon.
In addition to the regular Sunday service, a short history of the society was given by the First Reader.
During the years 1926 and 1927, a small group interested in Christian Science met in private homes to conduct their services. On June 26, 1927, the society was organized, and later received recognition from The Mother Church.
The purchase of the building from the Commercial Club was completed the following August, and the first services were held there on October 2, 1927.
Grateful acknowledgment is expressed for the many contributions received from the membership and others who were interested, which has enabled the society to clear all indebtedness.
