It is with deep gratitude to God...
It is with deep gratitude to God that I testify to the healing of neuritis through Christian Science. For months the pain was so severe that I could not raise my arm. Through the patient guidance of a consecrated practitioner, I was led to examine my thinking and to seek "first the kingdom of God." I had been filled with rebellion, resentment, hate, and a sense of injustice toward two members of my family, one of whom had passed on. With the encouragement of the practitioner and through my study of the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I was able to correct my thinking, and to replace these aggressive mental suggestions with love. When I was able to perceive the true man of God's creating, who expresses only good, the healing came, and I awoke one day completely free. I had proved for myself that one can obey Mrs. Eddy's admonition (Science and Health, p. 393), "Have no fear that matter can ache, swell, and be inflamed as the result of a law of any kind, when it is self-evident that matter can have no pain nor inflammation."
Since coming into Christian Science, thirteen years ago, I have had many healings, among them those of poisoned tonsils, constant nausea, cigarette smoking, and social gambling.
I am deeply grateful for our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for class instruction.—(Mrs.) Rena Y. Dublon, New York, New York.
