An article in your recent issue commences, "Attacks seldom convince." The writer, a professor, then proceeds to attack the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy.

Christian Science is based on Jesus' teaching and practice. Mrs. Eddy's place in history has long since been assured. Just one tribute must suffice at this stage. Dr. Lyman P. Powell, a well-known Episcopalian minister, in his biography writes, "Outside of New England, where praise or blame is more outspoken, tribute to the leader of Christian Science developed into such panegyrics as few persons in all history have evoked."
