That Christian Science heals...

That Christian Science heals quickly and permanently has been well proved in my experience.

When I was in my early teens, I suffered from impaired eyesight. After six months of hospital care and treatment, climaxed by a rigid examination, I was informed by one of the best eye specialists in England that little more could be done to avert the loss of sight; that, while specially prescribed for glasses might prolong the period, they would do nothing to correct the difficulty; and a period of three years was designated as the limit in which my eyesight could be enjoyed.

To my troubled mind the future looked black and hopeless indeed. By a single verdict all my desires, ambitions, and aspirations seemed crushed under the weight of an overwhelming calamity. In my distress I could not even turn to God because, although I had been reared in a strictly religious home. I found it impossible to accept the doctrine that God was the author of sin, sickness, and death. A search of the tenets of other religious sects brought no better assurance, with the result that attendance at church was discontinued.
