Our Portion Evermore

O Father-Mother God, the great I AM,
The one and only self-existing Spirit,
Thou mighty Maker of the universe,
Thy love, transcending all the dreams of mortals,
Created man in likeness of Thyself.
For this we thank and praise Thee, and adore.

All things were made by Thine immortal power
And Thou declared'st all was very good;
In Thy creation, then, no discord is,
No evil lurks, no lions in the way.
Our expectation is of good alone.
There is no power to harm in all around;
Let fear be gone, and Love be firm enthroned.

Our life, O Father, is a gift from Thee,
The perfect life, reflection of Thine own;
Thou madest us, and lovest us, who are
The children of our Father-Mother God.
To us, the spiritual children of Thy love,
Thou grantedst every blessing, every good,
Yea, gavedst all. What good was then withheld?
We know we have, for all good has been given,
Then what we need must come to us from heaven.

What lack we then? Health, strength, or joy, or peace?
Life, Truth, and Love, intelligence, release
From fear? Rejoice! No lack can thwart God's power.
All, all is good, our portion evermore.
