Words fail me to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is still doing for me.

I became interested in Christian Science about 1905, at which time it was necessary for me to live in the home of my husband's mother, who was a Christian Science practitioner. I had heard very little about Christian Science, so of course knew nothing about it. Later I was ill with typhoid fever and had a physician. When I was able to be up and comb my hair, it came out by handfuls. My hair had always been long and thick, and I was very proud of it. I had lost a great quantity, and one night at the dinner table, when I was lamenting the loss of my hair, my mother-in-law said, "There is no need for you to lose your hair." I asked what I should put on it (of course, I thought of material help), but she said, "At one time my hair was coming out and I treated the condition in Christian Science, and the hair stopped falling out." Then I asked her to treat me, and the next time I combed my hair not even one hair came out. I was very thankful. I bought the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and have since depended on Christian Science for my every need, and it has not failed me.

When my daughter was born I had Christian Science help. The birth was harmonious, and my daughter has never taken a drop of medicine.
