More, Not Less Good Natural
Economic and social theories which hold that there must be a leveling down of society for the sake of some of its members, and that all must have less of freedom and dominion than many now enjoy, find no support in Christian Science. This Science does indeed inculcate justice for all, but authentic justice, it shows, means enrichment for all. For good, as revealed and demonstrated through Science, is not limited, so that one must have less of it because another has more. It is infinite, and as it appears more generously for one, all concerned are benefited correspondingly. The benefits, moreover, extend naturally to every department of human experience, including the supply of needed material things for all concerned.
One may put it in this way: No matter how happy a human being has been, he can be still happier, with good reason. The measure of security and sufficiency attained by even the most fortunate of mankind is in fact but a hint of that which is possible for them. They can have complete freedom from anxiety, complete assurance concerning their relationships, their capabilities and usefulness, their health, and all that concerns them. And no less assurance, no less of sufficiency and security, is possible for everyone.
The enrichment which is thus available for all is not, of course, merely an increase of material wealth, nor merely the fulfillment of preconceived human plans, both of which, as many know, may be disappointing. But it is an increase of true enlightenment and true satisfaction, which unfailingly brings with it abundant evidence of the infinitude of good, including whatever is humanly needful.
