For many years I had been...
For many years I had been troubled with severe attacks of grippe, which necessitated frequent absences from my work. Hope and faith in doctors were fast disappearing, for I received no lasting help from them, but I continued to seek one who might help me.
In 1925, at a time when I felt the need of a better home, I was led in a most interesting way to rent a room in the home of a Christian Scientist. Though I knew practically nothing about Christian Science, I felt that it must be because of this religion that this home was so lovely and attractive. It was most refreshing to find a home where so much order, love, and beauty of thought was expressed.
