Christian Science Rest Room for the Forces

"Spirit blesses man, but man cannot 'tell whence it cometh.'"—Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, page 78.

This quiet place invites its occupants
To turn away from turbulence and fear,
To find the peace, not only for the nonce,
Of man's true selfhood here.

Here toilers for the truth may touch the hem
Of Truth's omnipotence, become aware
Of ever-present Love enfolding them
In its eternal care.

Thus soon or late the seed that has been sown
Shall germinate in such as say: "I found
Divine refreshment there. There, unbeknown,
I trod on holy ground."
