I have been helped so much in Christian Science that I feel it is time to acknowledge it in a testimony.

About twenty years ago I visited my sister. During my stay I suffered from severe hemorrhages. My sister said I did not have to suffer, because there was healing for me. I said that if she would tell me what to do I would try it. She wrote out the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly for the week, and on my way home we drove to a Christian Science Reading Room, and I purchased a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I read the Lesson, and that night called a practitioner for help. The next morning I was much better. I went to church, studied, and received much help. I then drifted away, and gradually went back to material help.

Six years ago I had a severe heart attack, and the doctor advised my staying in bed for the rest of my life. My illness continued for months; complications set in, and my husband and son were told that if I did not improve I should have to go to the hospital. At this time a daughter, who had been a Christian Scientist for a number of years, came to care for me. She reminded me of my former experience in Christian Science.
