Catonsville, Maryland (First Church).—Dedication of the new Christian Science church building in Catonsville took place on Sunday, November 23, 1941. According to the custom of the denomination, the formal dedication marked the liquidation of the indebtedness incurred in erecting the new edifice, which was completed in the summer of 1940.

Following is a brief history of the society, prepared by one of its members:

"On October 3, 1932, Christian Science Society, Catonsville, became an authorized branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. Since the organization of the society, a Sunday school and Reading Room have been maintained, and since 1934, with the exception of one year, a free lecture has been given annually.
