Thirteen years ago, at a time of great need in all directions, Christian Science was presented to me. Within two days an attack of recurrent influenza was completely destroyed. This was my first experience of the infinite healing power of divine Mind. The condition, which had made me seriously ill every year for many years, has never returned. The spiritual uplift which accompanied this healing changed my entire outlook, giving me strength to carry on and face problems which had previously seemed to be not only insoluble, but overwhelming.

Through my holding to the truth that the real man, created by God, is spiritual now, and that he always has been and always will be as perfect as God is perfect, irrespective of any apparent evidence to the contrary, ruptures, diphtheria, sciatica, consumption, burst varicose veins, and countless minor ailments have, either in my own experience or that of others, vanished completely, some instantly, and others within a few hours or days.

While those at present uninstructed in Christian Science may question the availability of the power of God to solve any and every type of human problem, students proceed to prove, year by year, that "man's extremity is God's opportunity." Thus are the faith and confidence of all associated with the movement strengthened with each victory gained over some discordant condition.
