It is with most sincere gratitude to God and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for all the blessings which have come to me through the study and practice of Christian Science, that I give this testimony.

I did not become interested in Christian Science for any special healing, having been blessed with excellent health all my life, but I sought to know God, and to find a religion which could be made applicable to our everyday needs. Through the study of the Bible and our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, these needs have been met for many years. In 1893 I was asked to read Science and Health, and I had not read far when I thought, "Oh, this is what I have been looking for!" However, I did not accept it all until 1895, when I first saw a healing. Our son, at that time an infant, became very ill. I asked my husband if he wanted to try Christian Science, and we sent for a practitioner. In a short time the child was well and happy. For this I felt very grateful, and from that time never doubted that Christian Science is the truth as taught and demonstrated in the life of Christ Jesus.
