No one has greater cause for gratitude for Christian Science than I have, and for the many proofs of its healing power. I learned from the message it brought to me a number of years ago that God is the only one that can heal. When in great need I turned to Christian Science and was healed of a distressing difficulty. Since that time I have never sought other means of healing.

Some years later while living in Imperial Valley, where it was very hot, I was taken with hemorrhages in the head. They were so severe it was thought that I could not possibly live. I clung steadfastly to the great truth that God is my Life, and rallied, but there was another hemorrhage, and I became unconscious of anyone around me. However, I was conscious of life and knew that God was and is my Life, and that Life never changes.

A Christian Science practitioner was called in, and I heard him say emphatically, "It is a lie." This aroused me. A druggist in Imperial Valley, who had been a physician in the Philippine Islands, sent some powders for me to use, saying they had been known to stop the difficulty. I was begged to use them, but I could not. I knew that if I wavered my demonstration would never be made. I am grateful to the practitioners and friends who so lovingly helped me at this time, until my healing came.
