Mrs. Eddy writes on page 494 of Science and Health, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." The truth of this statement has been proved to me many times recently in the overcoming of several physical difficulties. For the wonderful protection during a very heavy airraid when our home was taken from us, I am truly grateful. Although there was destruction all around us and at first there seemed no way of escape except by going through fire which had broken out in front of the house, we were unhurt. The only words I could think of at that moment were, We are "safe in Love's protection." Through the help of Christian Science a new home was established within a month.

The healing of an internal pain, which had been troubling me for some time, took place after a short talk with a practitioner. Soon after this another erroneous condition presented itself, at one time causing great depression, but through the loving help and encouragement of the practitioner, this too was healed.

In the Bible we read that before Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead he said, "Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me." One evening the question came to my thought, Am I relying wholly on God, or am I in any way doubting the healing power of Truth and Love? The suggestion had already been made that I try material remedies for a nerve trouble which I had at the time, but with this thought came Mrs. Eddy's words (Science and Health, p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." After this I went through some of our hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal, rejoicing that I was healed; although I still had the pain, I still rejoiced. I went to bed and the next morning awoke completely healed. Within a few weeks I was healed of alopecia, which a well-known medical man had said would take months to put right.
