When I began to study Christian Science...
When I began to study Christian Science I experienced a number of physical healings solely from the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. These were published in the Christian Science Sentinel about fifteen years ago. Since then other demonstrations have been made as the result of the study and application of Christian Science.
A number of years ago I found myself in a strange city, homeless, penniless, and without employment. In this condition I went to a Christian Science lecture, where I received a great deal of inspiration. For about ten hours after the lecture I incessantly declared the truth about God and man, and at the same time refuted in my consciousness mesmeric beliefs. This brought about such an elevation of thought that I could readily perceive the whole experience as a dream of mortal sense, and with this awakening an idea came that led me out of the unpleasant circumstance. In about forty-eight hours I had employment, funds, friends, and home.
At another time, when I was trying to solve a problem of unemployment, divine Love led me to take class instruction, and immediately afterward a place of employment was made available to me.
