So many blessings have come to me through the study of Christian Science that I should like to express my gratitude for them.

I did not take up the study of this Science for physical healing, though I was very much in need of it. I was divinely led into a Christian Science Reading Room one day, and bought a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I was very unhappy at the time, and my longing for Truth was so great that I read day and night for three weeks, especially the chapter on Prayer. At the end of this period I found that I had been completely healed of bronchitis and sinus trouble. When I realized that I had been healed through reading this precious book, words could not express my deep gratitude for Mrs. Eddy's love for God and man.

I should like to tell of another healing, this one with the help of a practitioner. Several times previous to my taking up the study of Christian Science I had experienced what doctors called inflammation of the bladder, and the pain was so great that it was necessary for me to remain in bed. At the beginning of my study of Christian Science the difficulty manifested itself again, and I called a practitioner for help, which was lovingly given to me. I had one or two treatments, and about the third day I called the practitioner and said that I still had a great deal of pain. Lovingly but firmly she spoke to me of the power of the Word, and asked me to call her again the next day. I then sat down to read Science and Health. I do not know how long I read, but within twenty minutes or an hour I arose from my chair completely healed. I felt as if a cloak had fallen away from me. I cried with joy, saying, "Now I know I am healed." And there has been no recurrence of the trouble since.
