Shelter

WE hear much today about shelters being constructed in the war zone for the safety of the people living in those countries, and we are truly grateful for this splendid work, but material shelters are not infallible, for when a bomb strikes on the top of them they go to pieces.

A short time ago, while the writer was praying for enlightenment on the problems in which the world is involved, the word "shelter" kept repeating itself in her consciousness—so much so that she had to leave off her work to try to realize what this repetition of the word "shelter" could mean. It came to her, as she thought about it, that this word must have a spiritual meaning that she ought to know.

She then went to the Bible to study the account of Daniel in the lions' den. He had no fear, but remained perfectly calm, turning his back on the lions to commune with God.
