Decision

There may be shadows on the mountainside,
Or mists at sea,
Or darkness on the trail, but Love will guide
And shelter me.

And though the tempting, selfish human will
Might like to choose
The way of sense, I know the way of Truth
I cannot lose.

For I can hear, above the storms of sense,
Love's gentle call
Exhorting, but with tenderness divine,
Lest I should fall.

God knoweth well that, falter though I may,
For good I yearn,
And as I seek to know which path to take,
This do I learn:

There is no dark or undirected way,
For I can see,
Though only step by step, and know that Mind
Is leading me.

There no mental shadows hovering near,
"Tween God man.
Truth's way is clear, and all my joy I find
But in His plan.
