It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude that I give...
It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude that I give this testimony of healing.
A little over ten years ago I was hungering and thirsting for a church home. I was thoroughly satisfied with materia medica for physical healing, but I was longing for a place of worship. Since an early age I had been a member of an orthodox church, but upon moving West I did not seem to be able to establish myself in a church home which I enjoyed. One winter's evening, when the weather was too cold and unpleasant for many people to be on the street, I was impelled to attend a night school class in spite of the weather. The teacher and I were the only ones present. I told her of my longing for a church home, and she lovingly invited me to attend the Christian Science church with her. This was on a Monday, and the following Wednesday evening I attended my first service in a Christian Science church. I knew from that first meeting that I had found the religion which I had long sought.
Ten days later I was attacked by severe pain from neuritis in my arms. I had suffered from this difficulty many times during the preceding few months, and had been only temporarily relieved by opiates. I asked a friend how I could get in touch with a Christian Science practitioner, and she referred me to The Christian Science Journal. I called one of the registered practitioners and talked with her a short time. Then I returned home, and after studying for about an hour I was completely free, and have never again suffered from neuritis. I am very grateful to know and prove that Christian Science heals all our diseases. I have experienced healings of quinsy sore throat, colds, hemorrhoids, sprained wrist, injured back and leg, and have proved that difficult dentistry can be painless.
