I am giving this testimony through love and gratitude, hoping that it may be of help to someone. I am grateful for all the help Christian Science has been to me during a period of many years.

One of my first demonstrations after I came into Christian Science was the healing of the tobacco habit, which came through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was also healed of a severe case of shingles, in the midst of harvesting a heavy farm crop. We tried to do the healing work ourselves, but after several days without relief we called a practitioner from out of town, and loving work was taken up at once. The practitioner said she would come to see us the next day, and I was well enough to drive my car to meet her at the depot. The following day the healing was complete. I also had a quick healing of sciatic rheumatism, and speedy relief from influenza during the 1918 epidemic.
