Unfailing Resources

The words of Mary Baker Eddy on page 60 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," lines 29 to 31, have been reassuring to many who have found themselves entertaining a sense of limitation. Her words are as follows: "Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind, and happiness would be more readily attained and would be more secure in our keeping, if sought in Soul."

Since the resources of Soul are infinite and are instantly and forever available to man by reflection, there is never in the experience of spiritual man, who is the expression of Soul, a sense of lack or incompleteness. This fact understood and demonstrated brings to mankind an assured sense of abundance. And this truth is being proved in the affairs of many who are students of Christian Science.

Lack is lack, whether it be of one kind or another. The belief of incompleteness may manifest itself as lack of health or strength, lack of harmony, lack of wisdom, intelligence, or ability; lack of opportunity, lack of employment, or lack of adequate recompose for employment. Whatever form the belief of limitation takes, it is always the same thing, lack of understanding that man, the image of God, is "perfect and entire, wanting nothing."
