A Christian Science program in the Canadian Broadcasting...

"Devotional Period" program over Canadian Broadcasting Network, conducted by Newton T. Burdick, Committee on Publication for British Columbia,—September 1, 1940.

A Christian Science program in the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation "Devotional Period" series was conducted from Station CBR, Vancouver, British Columbia, on Sunday, September 1, from 1.30 to 2.00 p.m., by Newton T. Burdick, Committee on Publication for British Columbia. The program had the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. The soloists, Alan Roughton and Annabelle McKenzie Edwards, were assisted by James D. Hunter at the organ.

The program opened with Hymn No. 374 in the Christian Science Hymnal. Then Mr. Burdick read from the Bible as follows: Psalms 112:1, 7; II Chronicles 20:1, 13—17, 20—22, 27, 29; Proverbs 3:5, 6; Matthew 6:31—33. And from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: 387:27; 273:21; 275:10; 340:15; Pref. vii: 13-26; 444:10.

The program continued with a solo, "The Lord is my Light," by Oley Speaks. Mr. Burdick then read an address substantially as follows:
