Testimony

Father , I wait amid the silent throng,
My heart replete with gratitude and praise
That my true selfhood doth to Thee belong,
And by the power of Spirit Thou didst raise

My thought from out the depth of earth-bound fear,
Released, when faith and hope were well-nigh gone.
Oh, guide my speech, that these Thy lambs may hear
The wondrous things that Love to me hath done.

I will arise, whene'er Thou dost command;
My deep desire to comfort and to bless.
Upheld by Thee, securely I can stand,
A worthy witness to Thy faithfulness.
