During the sixteen years of my study of Christian Science, gratitude has been uppermost in my thoughts in solving many problems—gratitude to God for the revelation of Truth to Mary Baker Eddy, and to her for making our pathway to God clear. And now I feel I should like to help others by testifying to the following experience.

The faucets in the bathtub leaked, and had to be turned hard in order to stop the flow of water. One of the faucets, which I was turning, crushed in my hand, cutting it terribly. I called for the superintendent's wife to get some cloths to throw over my hand. She wanted to send for a doctor, but I knew that my help lay in the ever-presence of God, and that He was right there to heal when I called. My husband came in a few minutes later. He had a business trip to make and feared to leave me. I told him that I would go with him in the car. So I took my Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and during the ride I read and pondered. By the time we returned the pain had gone, and in ten days my hand was entirely normal.

How truly Mrs. Eddy has said (Science and Health, p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized"!
