In a recent issue, a correspondent makes assertions about Christian Science which anyone who has sincerely studied the subject will regard as absurd. Many who attack this movement gain their information about Mrs. Eddy and Christian Science from books written by the antagonists of Christian Science, and these have about as much value as a biography of the Founder of Christianity would have, if written by the scribes and Pharisees.

Mrs. Eddy was never a "spiritualist medium," and spiritualists have never produced any proof that she was, nor has the statement any foundation in fact.

Mary Baker Eddy is revered and honored by all who know the facts of her history and gain their information from a fair-minded source. An impartial life of this remarkable woman, written by the Rev. Lyman P. Powell, a clergyman of the American Episcopal Church, who is not a Christian Scientist, is entitled, "Mary Baker Eddy: A Life Size Portrait." This book can be borrowed from most public libraries, and I recommend its perusal to all who are in search of correct information with regard to Mrs Eddy's life and work.
