I thank God for Christian Science; for Christ Jesus; and for our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who loved God and man enough to give to us the interpretation of the Bible which we so sorely need.

Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 390), "It is our ignorance of God, the divine Principle, which produces apparent discord, and the right understanding of Him restores harmony." Periods of darkness, due to ignorance of God, to self-will, or to the belief in a mind apart from God, have come to me. The application of Christian Science at these times has healed me, and I know I can joyfully expect the understanding of God to heal all that is unlike Him.

The overcoming of anger and resentment over untoward circumstances means more to me than the healing of physical ailments. Many inharmonies have yielded to Christian Science treatment. Attacks of grippe, warts, lameness after childbirth, constipation, and numerous other discordant conditions have been overcome by the application of Christian Science. A condition of the ears that had required medical attention was healed while I was listening to the reading of the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly in a branch church. Our two children have received healings and have been protected many times.
