I am very grateful for Christian Science
I am very grateful for Christian Science. I have known of it all my life, and I have had many healings. I have never tasted medicine.
Once when I was a small child of about three years, my mother accidentally closed the heavy automobile door on my fingers. A handkerchief was tied around my hand so that I could not see my crushed fingers, and my mother told me that God is Life, Truth, and Love, and that He made nothing but good. When we reached home, a distance of three or four blocks, my fingers were completely healed, and I went about, playing as usual.
Throughout my life I had had a number of healings, but never entirely by my own efforts until one summer, while I was away at camp. One afternoon while playing, I felt a sudden pain in my side, but since I was interested in the game at that time, I thought nothing of it. Later on, however, the pain persisted, so I began to know the truth. Because of camp rules it was necessary for me to be examined by the doctor. After his examination, the doctor said that I had cracked one of my ribs, and he told me to come back in the morning, so he could tape my body. I started back to my cabin, wondering what to do. Then I realized that I was admitting a cracked rib to be real, so I started right away to correct my thinking. I went about the rest of the evening, denying the error and knowing the truth. In bed that night I knew the truth until I fell asleep. The next morning I went to see the doctor, and to his surprise I was completely well. I am very grateful for this healing.
