Christian Science was first presented to me in the Sunday...
Christian Science was first presented to me in the Sunday school, where I learned the first rules of Science from devoted teachers. I began to apply these rules in my schoolwork, and Truth has sustained me in every way since.
I have had many healings through the application of Science: employment has been found, a badly infected foot healed, and an unpleasant eye trouble was met—to mention only a few.
Some years ago a growth appeared on one finger, and later there were similar growths on other fingers. I spoke to an experienced Christian Science practitioner about this condition, and asked him for a treatment. He told me that no problem was too little or too big to be met by Christian Science. He recommended that I apply all I knew about Science in everything I did. On page 4 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes, "What we most need is the prayer of fervent desire for growth in grace, expressed in patience, meekness, love, and good deeds." I firmly resolved to pray, watch, and work to the best of my ability in everything I did. A few weeks later every trace of this condition disappeared.
