Where Is Our Defense?

In the hour of conflict and strife, when a nation's every heartbeat sounds the cry of preparation for defense, it must watch lest it forget and fail to conquer the world's too-long-accepted belief in a power apart from God.

There never was a time in the world's history when human conditions demanded greater consecration of thought on the part of the individual thinker; and there never will be a time when the individual thinker will have greater spiritual equipment to supply the need for right thinking than today.

Christ Jesus demonstrated peace on earth and good will to men; and Mary Baker Eddy, in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," unlocked the secret of that demonstration. Thus, these two greatest of Christian leaders opened to thinkers everywhere the meaning and application of the Word of God, which is able to solve all present world problems.
