My attention has been called to a very able review in a recent issue. The reviewer states that the Protestant religion must "return to original Christianity."

The above statement is of interest, as that is exactly what the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, has done for humanity in giving the world Christian Science. On page 17 of the Church Manual we read, "In the spring of 1879, a little band of earnest seekers after Truth went into deliberations over forming a church without creeds, to be called the 'Church of Christ, Scientist.'" The next paragraph continues, "On motion of Mrs. Eddy, it was voted,—To organize a church designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing."

The reviewer further states: "Baptism has been given every conceivable form of interpretation.... Quakers and Christian Scientists have repudiated the rite altogether."
