Biggleswade Chronicle
I observe in a recent issue a letter in which the writer mentions Christian Science in the same sentence as hypnotism, spiritism, new-thought, modernism, etc., in such a way as to infer that the former is just one of the many isms existent in the world today, and thus to convey an entirely wrong impression of what Christian Science really is to your readers.
Christian Science, or the Science of Christianity, is a great, healing, Christian religion. It is the restoration of primitive Christianity in this age. It was discovered and founded by Mary Baker Eddy, and is set forth clearly in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
That this book interprets the Bible rightly is evident from the fact that there are many thousands of well-authenticated cases of the healing of all manner of sin and disease by the ministrations of Christian Science; and many of these diseases have defied the best medical skill.
