With the Psalmist I can truly say, "He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock." God has indeed brought me out of a pit of depression and despair, "out of the miry clay" of material beliefs, especially that of self-condemnation, which, like the clay, claimed power to cling and clog, and so impede growth and cause mental stagnation.

My healing has been slow, but with Christian Science as my means of escape from bondage, my feet are now set upon the rock of spiritual understanding, so that again I can say with the Psalmist, "He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord." This new song, telling of salvation from all the ills that beset mankind, has replaced complaining and sorrowing.

My gratitude goes out to God for Christian Science, as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus and made practicable to all through the writings of Mary Baker Eddy.
