"Never doubting"

If the doubt, distrust, and fear of the human mind could be immediately replaced with spiritual confidence, trust, and love, the difficulties of the world which seem so real and portentous today would fade into insignificance and disappear.

The teachings of Christian Science show that this state of harmony will be brought about proportionately as individuals learn to lay claim to their heritage, "the glorious liberty of the children of God." John declared, "There is no fear in love;" and since it is fear that causes doubt and distrust, fear or lack of love may be said to be responsible for individual and world disturbances. Therefore, if we would do our part as individuals to relieve such conditions, let us learn to love more!

How subtle is this error called doubt! When we accept the continuous suggestions of doubt presented by mortal mind, are we not admitting doubt and distrust of God? Fearing is doubting God. Fearing is distrusting His care and provision for us. Certainly if we are loving God, good, we are overcoming fear of evil.
