A record of all the healings and benefits I have received...

A record of all the healings and benefits I have received from the study and application of Christian Science would fill a book.

At a time when I knew very little about this Science, but had learned "the scientific statement of being," as given on page 468 of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I was stricken with violent convulsions. I was forced to rely entirely upon God and the little I had learned of Christian Science during a few weeks' study. I mentally repeated "the scientific statement of being" until, one by one, the words came orally. Though the physical evidence was frightening, my thought was clearing and I persisted until in about an hour and a half the healing was complete. Instead of sleeping then, I spent the rest of the night reading the Christian Science publications. I was so glad to be alive and to have the opportunity to study. The following day I was most refreshed, and that evening attended church. This healing certainly proves that even before understanding dawns in consciousness one is protected by radical reliance on God, as Mrs. Eddy teaches.

Another time, when I had pneumonia, I was healed through the consecrated work of a practitioner, and was back at my duties the following day. A friend who witnessed this healing declared it to be a miracle. A case of mumps was healed within an hour through my own understanding. Numerous other difficulties have been overcome, including chapped hands, a cold, indigestion, and severe eyestrain. The last-mentioned was healed while I was listening to a lecture over the radio. I also have had an instantaneous healing of a finger which had been cut to the bone.

Christian Science has been of inestimable value to me in running a large kennel of purebred dogs. Inharmonies have arisen with the dogs, but have always been quickly overcome when Science was applied. Two remarkable healings took place through the work of the same practitioner who handled the case of pneumonia. One was of almost total paralysis, which two veterinarians had failed to heal, and the other of eclampsia. I am unspeakably grateful to the practitioner for the fine work she did and for the inspiration which came through this experience.

My gratitude for the Christian Science literature and for membership in The Mother Church is boundless; and I cannot fully express my gratitude for Mrs. Eddy's lifework in giving to the world so simple and yet so effective a system of metaphysics, whereby peoples of all lands may know the truth that makes free.
