Kindly grant me space to reply to some remarks regarding Christian Science, which appeared in a recent issue of the Gleaner.

Throughout his ministry, Christ Jesus taught and proved that the ability to heal disease by spiritual means followed as a necessary consequence of the right understanding of God. He said, "These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; ... and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

The book of Acts records many instances of the healing of disease by Jesus' followers.
