With deep gratitude to God for all the good Christian Science has brought to me for many years, I give this testimony. I wish to relate the healing, which was accomplished by the persistent application of the teachings of Christian Science, of the results of an accident.

In 1935, when living in British Columbia, I was struck by a hockey ball, which had been hit with great force. Not only was I knocked down, but the four front teeth in my lower jaw were forced flat in my mouth. In the upper jaw one side tooth was smashed and two front ones were knocked out of my mouth. Another tooth was partly broken, and my lower lip was badly cut.

In this emergency my thought turned immediately to God, with the result that I received an instantaneous healing of all pain, and was able to get up unaided, picking up a tooth which I saw lying on the ground. The bleeding stopped quickly, and I straightened my lower teeth as well as I could, and replaced in its proper place the tooth I had picked up. I immediately asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner, after which I got in touch with a dentist, for I could not shut my mouth because so many teeth were damaged, and I felt that it would be wise to have some temporary work done by him. My other front tooth was found, and I replaced it.
