In gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy I would testify to the healing power of Christian Science. The first healing of which I knew was that of a young mother who was healed of dropsy in its last stages. When the opportunity came I inquired into this healing, and entered the Christian Science Sunday School, although I had only a brief year to attend.

I had been under doctor's care since babyhood, and had taken many kinds of medicine. When I rebelled at different phases of illness which seemed unreasonable and uncalled for, I was lovingly told that it was God's will. I determined not to pray to God if He could be so cruel, although I never was quite able to believe that illness was God's will.

My greatest joy was when my Christian Science Sunday School teacher told me that God does not send illness, disaster, or evil in any form. I knew I had found the truth, and a great load rolled off me.
