Over twenty years ago I was healed of a hernia, after physicians had said that an operation was the only thing which would save my life. This healing took over three years to accomplish.

Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health (p. 162): "Christian Science brings to the body the sunlight of Truth, which invigorates and purifies. Christian Science acts as an alterative, neutralizing error with Truth. It changes the secretions, expels humors, dissolves tumors, relaxes rigid muscles, restores carious bones to soundness." I held steadfastly to this truth, and when I was able to keep fear out of my consciousness, the healing was realized, and it has remained permanent.

I was also healed of blisters which covered my body from head to foot. With the loving and patient help of a Christian Science practitioner, faithful study and application of the truth, and striving to become more Godlike, I was able to overcome resentment, and the healing occurred.
