Mere words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the many blessings which I have received through Christian Science.

I should like to share with others a healing which I experienced some years ago, for it brought home to me a much needed lesson. A large wart appeared on one of my fingers, and I promised myself that I would do some specific work for it. But the weeks sped by. I was unusually busy that fall, and thought of the wart only when I struck it against a sharp surface, or used a thimble.

Then one morning, when I was hurrying to keep an appointment, I experienced a sharp twinge of pain as I pulled on my gloves; and for the first time I noticed that there were, not one, but two large warts on the finger. My first impulse was to turn back into the house and do the necessary work; but the beguiling argument came: "You haven't the time now. Your appointment is at eight, and it isn't honest to keep anyone waiting." Then came the assurance, in the words of Paul, "Now is the accepted time." I retraced my steps, and sat down unhurriedly to work out this problem. A few moments' audible declaration of the truth of being—that God's child forever reflects the perfection of his creator, and cannot be burdened with a sense of inharmony or manifest a discordant condition—brought an instantaneous healing, and even swept from consciousness all remembrance of the experience, for it was not until some weeks later that I thought of the warts. I looked at both hands, for I had even forgotten on which hand they had appeared, and there was not a vestige of a wart. The healing has been permanent.
