It is with humility in my heart that I am expressing my most sincere gratitude for Christian Science. All I am, and all that I have, I owe to this Science. I am grateful for the many healings I have experienced, physical and mental; for a better understanding of God and man; and particularly for the understanding that the real man is a spiritual idea of God, and is not material.

I was reared in Germany, and my training at home and in school, up to the age of twenty, was carried on in strict accordance with the doctrines of the Lutheran church. I was taught to believe in a God who both loved and hated, rewarded and punished. Thus, when I first heard of Christian Science I ridiculed it, for I then thought of God in a material way; but after I saw what Christian Science was doing for mankind, I turned to it wholeheartedly, and discarded my wrong concepts of God and of my relationship to Him. Christian Science has helped me to demonstrate the healing power of Truth, to correct false beliefs, and with the loving and patient help of a practitioner to come out of the sufferings of physical sense into a more spiritual sense of being.

I have been healed of organic troubles, broken bones, and many other difficulties. Christian Science has made me a better, more loving, unselfish, and honest woman, dealing more fairly with my fellow men.
