Many years ago, as a member of the A. E. F. stationed in France, I experienced a very strong desire to know the truth in religion, and earnestly prayed to be led into it. Sometime later, through the needs of another member of the family, Christian Science was presented to me and its teachings were embraced. Since then many and varied have been the healings experienced personally and by other members of our family.

Through the study and application of Christian Science, and oftentimes assisted by a loving, patient practitioner, such physical ailments as boils, constipation, pneumonia, whooping cough, and measles, have been quickly and completely healed. Outstanding among the healings was that of the smoking habit of more than thirty years' standing. Though this healing was slow, the manifold blessings which have unfolded during the year and a half since it took place, have many times exceeded the false sense of pleasure of the thirty years during which the habit was indulged.

My gratitude for the Christian Science Sunday School, in which our children are taught the truth, is beyond my present ability to express. In conveying gratitude for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and for The Mother Church with all its officers, departments, and branches, our desire is that it may help others even as we have been helped. I am indeed grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church and for the privilege of service which such membership affords.
