My gratitude for Christian Science is unbounded

My gratitude for Christian Science is unbounded. For a period of seventeen years I have applied it to my experiences and have never found it wanting.

My theological viewa had been shattered, and I had become very much confused. I searched everywhere for an explanation of existence. I even doubted the miracles of Jesus. I realized that as a historical fact he had lived and evidently was a good man, but more I could not concede. However, I knew I was living. I had been created and was aware that creation was the outcome of some infinite source or intelligence. In moments of doubt I clung to these facts. Suddenly, during this period of unrest, copies of The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel were sent to me by a distribution committee of a branch church. Each article was eagerly read, and while not fully understanding everything, I was comforted, and my outlook on things changed from one of hopelessness to hope. I helped myself freely to literature from a box in a railroad station, until I was led to purchase Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

Our children were enrolled, while still very young, in the Sunday school, and soon my husband began to attend church with me. Both of us are now members of The Mother Church and of a branch church. During these years Christian Science has been our physician. The children have gone through periods of contagion untouched.
