Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Hong Kong and Canton, China.

Our previous friendly relations with the press have been strengthened during the year by more frequent contacts, and a very helpful attitude has been shown in printing reports of special services and of our lecture.

The extension of the Monitor exchange-for-advertising plan to newspapers in whose locality there is a Christian Science church has been gratefully received. The plan has been accepted by all our local papers as well as the Canton papers. All these papers now receive the Monitor daily in exchange for the periodical insertion of an advertisement of the Monitor. In the case of local papers, the advertisement also gives the address of our Reading Room for intending purchasers of the Monitor, and is therefore specially helpful to this branch of our church activities.
