Prayer and Praise

BERTHA IRENE BYRD

Father, may Thy love eternal
Penetrate our thought each day;
Quiet all our fears, and keep us
Trusting in Thy care alway.
Help us in our every action
Love's sweet precepts to obey.

May we follow after Jesus,
Seek to show his Christly grace;
Strive for humbleness and meekness
And to see Truth face to face.
Keep us pure, that we may ever
Mortal sense learn to abase.

May we ever praise Thee, Father;
Praise by being constant, pure;
Praise by proving Love has power
Sin to heal, and sickness cure;
Praise by being just and joyful,
Sheltered in God's arms secure.
