I am very grateful to be a student of Christian Science...
I am very grateful to be a student of Christian Science and that my parents are Christian Scientists also. I wish to tell of a healing I had about two years ago. I was helping a gentleman in the garage with his car. On opening the door of the garage the "two-by-four" which held the doors fell with great force, striking me on the top of my head. I repeated "the scientific statement of being," as given to us in the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 468), while I finished helping this man. He never knew anything had occurred. When I came into the house to my mother and she saw the cut, she immediately declared the truth as we are taught in Christian Science. She then washed off the blood and we sat down and repeated the Lord's Prayer. We said it over many times, knowing that the truth contained in the prayer instantaneously heals. We were so grateful for this prayer, which did heal. I went out and played ball for about two hours.
When I went out to play the boys said, "Your head is bleeding." I denied the error; and then they asked me what was the matter with my head, and I said, "Nothing." Those were the only remarks that were made. That was the end of the trouble. The cut closed completely, and the hair which had been cut away quickly grew again. I want to say I am grateful for this healing, and for healings other people are having. I am twelve years old and have attended the Christian Science Sunday School all my life.
