In the Bradenton Herald of March 14, a writer asks, "What is Truth?" Please allow me space to correct some of the statements made by the writer regarding Christian Science.

There are six Tenets of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, to which every member of a Christian Science church subscribes. The first tenet reads (Church Manual, p. 15), "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life."

The correspondent says, "So-called Christian Science fails because it does not save men from sin." Another tenet reads: "We acknowledge God's forgiveness of sin in the destruction of sin and the spiritual understanding that casts our evil as unreal. But the belief in sin is punished so long as the belief lasts."
