I desire to bear grateful testimony to the healing and regenerating influence of Christian Science. I have relied upon it for healing and been a beneficiary of its gentle ministrations over a long period of years.

My interest was first awakened by kind neighbors who told me of testimonies given at Wednesday evening meetings and occasionally gave me Christian Science literature. It interested me chiefly as a religion. However, after this had continued perhaps a few months I was stricken with a malady which had made its appearance now and again, and greatly alarmed those who were close to me. At the time I was stricken, I was alone. After searching thought for a possible way to obtain help and realizing the futility of expecting to reach human aid, turned to what I had heard and read about Christian Science. This reaching out to God brought instant relief. A Bible verse stood out as though illumined. This revealing message caused the pain and weakness to vanish so suddenly as to seem unbelievable. This experience has remained fresh in thought and has been as a beacon lighting my path many times since. It is more than twenty years since I was entirely healed of this disease. I have had other healings in Christian Science and have many times been conscious of God's loving protection, provision, and guidance.

A badly scalded hand was healed completely in about an hour. A case of smallpox, which had been reported to the authorities, was healed by persistent holding to the truth of being and denying reality to error in any form.
