Christian Science has been my only physician for twenty years, and I wish to express my gratitude through one of our periodicals for the healings and blessings I have experienced through the study and application of this Science.

I have been healed, with the help of a practitioner, of a physical and nervous breakdown which seemed quite serious. At times I suffered complete exhaustion, sleeplessness, and many other physical disturbances peculiar to this condition. The healing was slow, and during this time I received a great deal of help from the study of the Scriptural narrative of the rich young man, who asked Jesus what he should do to inherit eternal life. Jesus said, "One thing thou lackest: ... sell whatsoever thou hast, ... and follow me." I saw I must cast out all pride, self-righteousness, love of prestige and power, and let in humility. I saw I needed to count my many blessings—the physical, mental, and financial healings which I had experienced through the application of the truth, and the healings of loved ones which had come through this same source—and be grateful for the leavening thought that was daily healing all manner of sickness and disease in all the world. As I became more thankful for these and for the patient, loving help of practitioner, friends, and loved ones, the healing came.

For overcoming the fear of speaking in public I wish to express thanks. I can now take any part in the services which it may be my duty to do, with thanksgiving, knowing that "I can of mine own self do nothing."
