Unbroken Friendships

A friend ! No richer thought exists—to fall
With gentle grace and upon the heart
That waits on God for gifts, and shares a part
Of present, boundless good "before they call."
What form these messengers shall take of all
His hosts we may not outline, plan, or chart.
Let mutual need be met by perfect art;
Let Love direct—unerring Mind install.

How clear the view above material sense!
The friendships born of God are here—to heal
Belief in separation—to heal the sting
Of loss. Through gratitude comes recompense.
Companionships, through Godlike thoughts, reveal
Unbroken friendships changeless Love can bring.
